ISSOW for Sabah Shell Petroleum Company

ARA TechBis has partnered with UK based Petrotechnics Ltd to provide an Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW) solution to the oil and gas sectors in this region.  Petrotechnic's award-winning international success is largely due to it's core-offering - ISSOW product Sentinel PRO® which is currently transforming operational efficiency at 280 sites, across 20 countries, spanning 5 continents for nearly 50,000 users.

Via this partnership, ARA TechBis recently secured a contract from Sabah Shell Petroleum Company (SSPC) to deploy Sentinel PRO® for the Gumusut-Kakap development area.

Sentinel PRO® is the leading global solution for frontline efficiency in hazardous activity management for the oil and gas industry.  It recognizes and overcomes the challenges in the unstructured and dynamic nature of managing operations, maintenance and associated activity through a unified business process that integrates permit to work, risk assessment and isolation management and delivers it to the frontline user in an intuitive graphical real-time software tool. 87% of the UKCS and 40% of the Gulf of Mexico operators are currently using Sentinel PRO® solution.

Failures in the control of work are currently a major factor in a high percentage of safety related incidents, and it is recognised that considerable improvements can be achieved by improving the way in which work activities are managed at the front-line in a hazardous environment. Sentinel PRO simplifies the permit to work process, removing confusion and misconceptions that are frequently the root cause of incidents. It transforms front-line work execution by engaging key operational personnel in permit preparation and risk assessment and ensures adherence to the approval process and associated workflow.

With risk management at its core and better access to lateral learning and key data, Sentinel PRO is consistently delivering improved safety performance to operators such as Shell.
