ISSOW for Sabah Shell Petroleum Company

ARA TechBis has partnered with UK based Petrotechnics Ltd to provide an Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW) solution to the oil and gas sectors in this region.  Petrotechnic's award-winning international success is largely due to it's core-offering - ISSOW product Sentinel PRO® which is currently transforming operational efficiency at 280 sites, across 20 countries, spanning 5 continents for nearly 50,000 users.

Via this partnership, ARA TechBis recently secured a contract from Sabah Shell Petroleum Company (SSPC) to deploy Sentinel PRO® for the Gumusut-Kakap development area.

Sentinel PRO® is the leading global solution for frontline efficiency in hazardous activity management for the oil and gas industry.  It recognizes and overcomes the challenges in the unstructured and dynamic nature of managing operations, maintenance and associated activity through a unified business process that integrates permit to work, risk assessment and isolation management and delivers it to the frontline user in an intuitive graphical real-time software tool. 87% of the UKCS and 40% of the Gulf of Mexico operators are currently using Sentinel PRO® solution.

Failures in the control of work are currently a major factor in a high percentage of safety related incidents, and it is recognised that considerable improvements can be achieved by improving the way in which work activities are managed at the front-line in a hazardous environment. Sentinel PRO simplifies the permit to work process, removing confusion and misconceptions that are frequently the root cause of incidents. It transforms front-line work execution by engaging key operational personnel in permit preparation and risk assessment and ensures adherence to the approval process and associated workflow.

With risk management at its core and better access to lateral learning and key data, Sentinel PRO is consistently delivering improved safety performance to operators such as Shell.

Infant Protection System at Prince Court Medical Centre

ARA TechBis Sdn. Bhd. leads the way with Malaysia's first RFID Mother-Infant Identification System, deployed in Prince Court Medical Centre (PCMC),  a 280 bedded multi-specialty tertiary care hospital located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.  The hospital, aims to be the foremost healthcare provider in Asia, offering comprehensive medical care through world-class facilities, innovative technology and excellent customer service.
RFID tracking systems are generally used in hospitals to track expensive medical equipment costing millions.  But with the rise in accidental baby switching instances and attempts of abduction, patient safety is increasingly becoming a priority in hospitals wishing to provide safe and quality healthcare.  Being sensitive to this issue, Prince Court Medical Centre realized the need to improve overall hospital security to prevent any attempts of infant abduction, accidental switching or identity mismatch. PCMC readily embraced RFID technology in order to provide the best possible solution in order to increase patient safety generally and infant safety specifically whilst improving the overall patient care experience.
This unique infant security system acts as a personal security guard for each infant. The RFID tag is fitted to an infant to accurately match mother with infant, report real time location, track and locate infant, provides abduction deterrence and safeguard against unauthorized removal of infant from the ward.
The Infant Tag is designed to protect the infant without cutting or chafing the skin. In addition to being lightweight and water-resistant with hypoallergenic properties, the Infant Tag is ergonomically designed to fit the smallest of infants comfortably and securely.

Mother-Infant RFID Identification System

For hospital labor and delivery departments to ensure patient safety, they rely on positive patient identification. Being able to verify that the right patient is receiving the right treatment, medication and/or breast milk for both mother and newborn are critical. Focusing on these important patient safety and other issues, many hospitals are now looking for a Mother-Infant Identification system.

ATSB, with its experience in patient tracking using Active RFID hospital wide, has another flagship product that allows for Mother-Infant identification using the tamper evident Active RFID wristband tag for location tracking and mother/infant matching authentication.
Tamper Evident Active RFID Infant Tag
With SmartSense Patient Tracking solution as the backbone, all patients including the mothers and infants at labor ward will be tagged with Active RFID Wristband Tag to track their real time location.
Nurses Would Be Able to View the Tracking and Matching Screens at the Nursing Station
When an Infant is brought near to his/her Mother (<3 feet) and a positive match is established from the RFID System, a Green LED will flash on the Active RFID Mother Tag.If there is a mismatch, a Red LED will flash on Active RFID Mother Tag with an audible buzzer sound.

Geo-fencing is applied to the required wards/zones where necessary. In the event of any unauthorized removal of any infants from the ward, an “alert” will be triggered and displayed on the ward dashboard. Nursing staff at the ward will then be required to take the necessary appropriate actions before turning off the alert. Alerts can also be sent to security personnel and other senior management personnel via SMS as an option.
Geofencing Would Ensure that No Infant is Moved Without Authorization
